Series 1, Episode 10: 'Using EFT Tapping To Help Our ADHD' with Candace Fox
"If western medicine and eastern medicine had a love child EFT would be it"
This week’s episode features Candace Fox, a Conscious EFT Practitioner & Coach, who was diagnosed with ADHD at 35 and after years of disordered eating decided to turn her own challenges and healing journey into an opportunity to support neurodiverse groups. Candace is especially interested in the impact EFT has on neuroplasticity and what that means when we consider underdeveloped areas of the brain in AD[H]Ders.
Kate and Candace talked about:
What is Emotional Freedom Technique or tapping and how does it help
Disordered eating, EFT and ADHD
Trauma and regulating our nervous system using EFT
Recognising that trauma can be stuck in our bodies and using somatic therapy and 'havening' for self-soothing
Why we believe EFT is so helpful for ADHD
Using acupressure and meridian points to calm us
How tapping can change our neural pathways
Burnout and the power of rescheduling
The future of using EFT for helping ADHD
