Emotional hygiene and spiritual health

**Emotional hygiene and spiritual health** This week I heard these phrases during a Dr Mark Hyman podcast and they really struck a chord. We look after our dental hygiene and ensure we wash everyday. We may often worry at the slightest feel of any lump under the surface of our skin or be concerned if we feel any joint or muscle pain. However, with our own emotional and spiritual health, we often suppress our feelings or niggles.

We can ignore the years of negative self-talk and beliefs while telling ourselves that’s just the way we should live. Many of us get used to the daily self-judging, fear-based and unkind feelings we have towards ourselves and think it’s normal.
However, I’m telling you if you had a continual dull toothache, you’d be straight at your dentist asking for a check up. Those niggles you’re experiencing are there for a reason - it’s your intuition or your gut, wanting to shake you and tell you there are other options. You can live and think differently.

If you’ve been telling yourself the same old story on loop such as:

🔁“I’m not good enough”
🔁“who am I to change?”
🔁”I’d never be able to do what she’s doing”
🔁“I’m just not capable enough”
🔁”I don’t deserve anymore than this”
🔁”I should be happy with what I’ve got”
🔁 “I’m too old to change my life.”

You are not alone, we all do this, including myself. A lot. The choice is to have the self-awareness to acknowledge how you’ve let your emotional hygiene slip (the same way you sink into the chair when your dental hygienist asks you when you last flossed 🙄) and make a stand to want to change. No more victim mentality, no more “poor me”. In my new role as a life and wellbeing coach, I help women just like you and I, find their inner voice again. I help them dig deep to move past these fear-based thoughts and negative self-beliefs and guide them towards better self-esteem so they can shine and live their best version of themselves - whether that’s through a new career, a happier home life or finding a new way of joy-based living.
Many of us don’t naturally shed that old dull skin and i know it can take a fair bit of scrubbing.

I support you during this emotional exfoliation process and ensure you’re left with the gleaming and shining person you’re meant to be. If this resonates with you at all, I’ll be launching my first three month online workshop series next week. I only have 3 slots left, so do get in touch if you are curious.
